REPORTING ABSENCES:

  • Call the Attendance line at: 651-638-1958 ext 204 .
  • Parent/Guardian should call school when student will be absent.
  • Call each day student is absent.
    Voice Mail is available 24/7.
  • When leaving a message:
    • State student name (spell last name)
    • Grade
    • Reason for absence and date. Be specific about the symptoms your student is experiencing.
    • Telephone number
    • Name & relationship of caller.  

LEAVING SCHOOL EARLY

  • Student should bring a note from parent/guardian to the BH Office before school starts.
  • Sign out/in at the BH Office when leaving & when returning.

COMING TO SCHOOL LATE

  • Check-in at the BH Office when arriving late to school.
  • Bring a note from home to explain the tardy, ie doctor appointment
  • Missing the bus is an unexcused tardy.
  • Students are expected to be in their classrooms by 8:55am

VACATIONS

  • If your student will miss school for a planned family event, notify the BH Attendance line in advance or send a note to the health office prior to the absence

 

Our school district works together with the Ramsey County Attorney and their Family Truancy Intervention Program  (FTIP) to assist families and students when the school has identified attendance concerns.
