Physical Education
Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster active and healthy lifestyle choices by providing children of all abilities and interests a foundation of movement experiences that develop and improve their motor skills and overall fitness.

Our Philosophy

Children need a variety of movement experiences to develop a healthy mind and body. Physical Education is an integral part of a child's school experience and required curriculum in the Roseville Areas Schools. Each child should experience success in physical education.

Providing a rich and wide range of individual and group activities help children:

  • Develop motor skills that can be used for a lifetime.
  • Improve their overall fitness level.
  • Develop positive social interactions through play.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of rules, etiquette, and strategies.

Expectations

Students must wear soft -soled shoes with ties or velcro straps and flat soles to participate in physical education class (please no slip-ons, boots or sandals).

If your child needs to be excused from an activity for one class period, please send a note to the physical education teacher.

If your child's activity level needs to be restricted or limited please send a note to the nurse's office. Excuses for more than one week require a doctor's statement.
